Chopsticks is a small, casual Chinese & Japanese restaurant with a pleasing, tasteful decor. They serve traditional Chinese entrees and a wide variety of sushi. The sushi is fresh and delicious, and very artistically presented. Meals are served with hot tea and finished off with a fortune cookie, just as you'd expect. Most of the lunch specials are under $6 and dinner prices range from around $7-$15. The owners are Chinese, and the service is very friendly. ABC license coming soon. Credit cards accepted. Free delivery for over $10. Reviewed 11/05

User Reviews:

I got delivery from Chopsticks on Tuesday night. I had been to the restaurant, but hadn't tried everything I wanted to. I tried the Wonton and Egg Drop soups, which were both about average. I didn't like the fried noodles that go in the soup as much as other places, but they were ok. I tried the fried dumplings and crab rangoons. Both were about average. I had some sushi that I think was called Golden Fish Maki or something like that. It was pretty good. The entrees I tried were the House Lo Mein and General Tso's Chicken. Average. I wasn't really impressed with anything but the sushi. I had previously tried the crispy beef and black pepper chicken. So far, those are this restaurant's best entrees. The spring rolls were not very good either.

The food is great and I have had many good experiences... Until now...The last 3 times I have ordered delivery, they have been over 1 hr 15 mins, and two of the times, they didn't bring the whole order, and I waited another 45 minutes to receive the "forgotten" food. They did not even apologize, even though we have frequented them at least once a week since they have opened. So to sum up my experience - great food, horrible service and delivery.

I ate here with my brother on a Saturday right after they opened, around 1100. We read some great reviews here for it and couldn’t find a menu for them, so we thought we would try them out and pick up a delivery menu at the same time. It was much easier to find than what I was anticipating. It’s not too far from the Target in Reston/Herndon. The dining area is small, but ok. I plan on ordering delivery from now on. We had miso soup, a salad with ginger dressing, a spicy tuna roll, a spider roll (soft shell crab), krispy beef, and black pepper chicken. The miso was ok, as was the salad. About average for around here. I was also not very impressed with the sushi. The spider roll was presented well, but nothing stood out about the taste. The spicy tuna had average presentation and was VERY spicy. The entrees were the best part. The krispy beef was great, but HOT. And so was the pepper chicken. Both were well prepared, very flavorful, and better than anything I had had in an asian restaurant in a long time. If you like hot asian, you should definitely try them out. I look forward to ordering lo mein and general tso’s in the near future.

The food is excellent, but they need to get more employee's now that their customer base is growing. I go there for lunch and the service is not very good. They need one person to greet the walk in customers and two people taking the telephone orders. One person doing both makes for bad customer service. The food is excellent and I would hate to see people not come back because of the service.

Will never visit this restaurant. Chinese food maybe OK but their Japanese food is not authentic.

Chopsticks is one of the best chinese restaurants around. Food is very good. My favorite here is the Black Pepper Chicken. Its not on the menu but if you like spicy food, you should really try this out. 1000 times better than China King.

We went as a group. First we felt that it is more like China King, but later felt that dishes were tasty, especially the Garlic sauce chicken/shrimp. I loved it and went back again for it. Good one. I will give 4 star for that rate.

I went there once, and had deliveries from there at least 5 times. I love it especially the sushi. Try the Gold Fish Maki. My favorite now. I also like the fact that you can have chinese and japanese in one place-this is great for a large group w/ various palettes.

I have ordered takeout from every place that will deliver to my address, and this is by far the best! They are now my exclusive Chinese takeout/delivery provider and I order from here 2-3 times per week. They have the best Chinese takeout in the area and the best prices. The service is always very fast and the people are very friendly. A+ Customer service! A+ Food! A+ Prices! The only thing I can think of to make it better would be a frequent diners program :)

This restaurant is excellent. Whenever my husband and I order in, we order Chopsticks. The Crispy Beef is excellent and we get it every time! The people who work there are super-friendly and the food always arrives hot.

Friendliness is the word. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by the servers. This is a clean restaurant with a pleasing decor. I enjoyed my meal (Seasame Chicken), but the real treat was the service. They are very attentive and the Manager, Bobby, is very chatty with the patrons (but not in an overbearing way). The lunch menu is a bargain (one entree, fried rice, and spring roll) for around 6-7 bucks. An interesting note-they have a sushi bar! I will try a sushi lunch special the next time I go back.
