Open from 7am to 2:30pm each day, First Watch is a chain with a creative flair for brunch. If you prefer the "greasy diner" breakfast, this is not the place for you. First Watch is very clean and extremely friendly, and the menu offers many healthy choices. Unique menu items such as the Chickichanga, and the Burrito Vera Cruz are worth inquiring about. However, you can also opt for good old fashioned buttermilk pancakes with sausage and you will not be disappointed. Servings are generous, and everything is fresh and delicious. Order a coffee, and they bring the entire pot to the table. Check out the colorful chalk boards for the specials.

From the decor, to the service, to the food - you can't leave this place without feeling a little happier, and a little healthier. This is no "greasy spoon" joint - everything is fresh, light, and delicious, including the coffee. The friendly service, the overall "feeling" of the place (and let's not forget free WiFi) makes this a favorite-weekly-stop of mine, and my husbands.

My husband and I were helping our daughter move into the area and I looked on line for a nice breakfast place to go in the neighborhood. It was clean, bright and pleasant. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Coffee was poured and the rest of the pot left on the table. Scrambled eggs and omlets were light and fluffy. The only thing was that some of the potatoes were cold and others were warm. Overall a great choice for breakfast. I'm sure we will visit frequently on our trips down to Herndon, VA.

Excellent. Hawaiian Style Atmostphere with friendly host to welcome and please. The food was excellent, felt more like a diner with endless coffee being poured and mostly breakfast/brunch entrees etc. But its different. The service was at normal pace when you compare to a sit-in. Staff was friendly. Fruit Bowl, Fries, everything was excellent. The daily specials scribbled on a board there also looked like it was a good deal for the combo. Worth trying and less disappointment.

This is a wonderful restaurant but there are a couple things that could be improved upon.First, the food is very fresh and I like that they carry breakfast items where Chorizo is used in a couple egg dishes (simply because I come from the southwest).I like the fact that when you order coffee they leave the pot of coffee on your table. I also like that they leave a full pitcher of ice water (with lemons) on your table as well. I'm a big water drinker so this saves the staff having to make multiple trips to my table. Also, they have wonderful salads - they're really top drawer. The couple things I think could be improved on: 1. Need to have someone at the counter when you come in to either seat you or at least serve as cashier as many times when I've been there I've found that you sometimes have to stand around either waiting for someone to notice you to seat you or to come and ring up your bill. 2. I think they charge too much for the yogurt and muffin item and it should be $1 or $2 less. 3. Their potatoes need to be seasoned or have some kick added to them. (Maybe offer a choice between potatoes that are plain and those that are seasoned with onions)? I find they're very blah as in no spice, salt and many times they're not hot - just lukewarm. 4. For sandwiches, it would be nice if they offered maybe a potatoe salad in exchange for the potatoes they serve (which are the same ones that are served with their breakfast) or you can order sliced tomatoes instead of the potatoes but still would be nice to have something other than the fried potatoes or sliced tomatoes when you order a sandwich. Other than those few recommendations this is really a nice and very relaxing restaurant. The people that work there are very friendly and it's a place where you feel very comfortable and can bring a newspaper to read and not be hassled. I hope this restaurant will stay in business because there have been many restaurants in this particular section of this shopping center that have gone under and I'd hate to see this happen to this restaurant.
