| Wah Taj |
User Reviews The description above is exactly correct, regarding the menu. There are no descriptions, but you're likely to not be disappointed. I had the Onion Dosa. It was visually striking, and absolutely delicious. At $7, this was a great value. However, I must say that the service is EXCEPTIONALLY poor. There were 3 waiters standing around watching a Cricket game on TV. It was 5 minutes before we were waited on. The waiter did not ask if we wanted drinks. I asked for a Coca-Cola. The waiter said one word "No". I had to ask if there was an alternative. He had to walk away and come back to let me know that Pepsi was the alternative. All 3 waiters seemed throughly confused. After the meal, it took about 30 minutes to get someone's attention to get the check. There were 2 other tables dining at the time. The decor is also pretty lacking. The walls are a stark glossy-bungundy with awful 80's style light fixtures. It is thrown together, and as a result a bit cold and not at all welcoming. If they train (or replace) the waiters and give the place a warm coat of paint and some lighting ambience, it could be a real winner. There is no doubt that the kitchen staff knows what they're doing. I went to wahtaj a couple of times, and i must say the food is extremly good. I love the flaver and spices. The service is prety good, but i do recomend they have togo menues. Tastes very good but little spicy, over all this is good place to and enjoy the food. interior is good and soothing...it is good for anniversary day or some birthday for a couple to go in and have dinner :) we had fun :) |
